Martin Schellen, Woodworker - Prince Edward Island Specializing in 18th century Queen Anne and Chippendale design, Martin has created tables, chairs, chests, beds, armoires, entertainment centres, corner cabinets and a variety of accessories. Starting as a hobby 20 years ago, Martin has become a true craftsman with a dedicated clientele. He likes working in cherry and curly maple which provides rich colour and wonderful texture and grain, making them the perfect furniture wood. Martin lives and works in New Perth, eastern Prince Edward Island. His work is carried at the Pilar Shephard Gallery in Charlottetown and is available at Pilar's shop in Victoria by the Sea, 10 minutes from the Confederation Bridge.
