GE Finance Matters - N Anderson & S Hoad In October 2007 GE Money gave us unconditional approval for finance to build our Universal Housing Design (UHD) house, a home designed to suit families with frail, aged or disabled family members. In May 2008, despite being one third of the way through the construction, GE Money withdrew the finance without apology. In December 2009 we lost our home to the builder; MW & LM Single Builders Pty Ltd called in the debt owing against the property that GE Money had reneged on funding, & we were forced to sell our land with the part-built UHD home on it, to Single Builders, and with it went our UHD Holiday Stays for all abilities enterprise.
