Initiative : A Not for Profit Organisation::: Health and Development Initiative-India (HDI) is a non-government organisation based at Amritsar City , India. Our keyey objectives : Tuberculosis control in India and its interaction with HIV pandemic and promotion of Rational drug use amongst health care providers.
The organisation brings out two publications, TB News from India (an E-mail based newsletter) and Drug Panorama (an independent drug bulletin, available in print form as well as on our web site).
HDI maintains a regularly updated web site. It provides information to health care providers and public about HIV/AIDS. Sexually Transmitted Diseases and Tuberculosis. It also provides links to web based distance learning resources for health care providers.
Links to tools for building personal skills and organizing training programmes for management of TB control programmes are also available.
HDI is engaged in advocating the cause of TB control in India amongst social, political leaders and administrators through personal meetings, media and other communication channels.
