She developed painted and sewn paper art work using handmade paper beads, knotted paper, and braided paper. Carolyn Batchelor lives in Flagstaff in northern Arizona where she pursues her interests in volunteer archaeology and plein air painting. She is inspired by the geology and ancient cultures of the landscapes of the American Southwest. Carolyn has a B.A. in art from Scripps College, Claremont, California.
