Moi Dugan Pottery Enter the world of Moi Dugan Pottery and treat yourself to a visual and tactile feast. Painter and potter intertwined, the artist embellishes the simplest of functional forms with layers of color, carving and sgraffito to create the fluidity of a wet painting on pottery. Wheel thrown and slipcast earthenware comprise the canvas for this pottery. Liquid slips colored with stains and oxides are painted onto the clay in its wet form. When the initial painting is complete, Moi uses a variety of tools to carve into and accentuate the design.
