North American Taiwan Studies Association (NATSA) The constitution of the North American Taiwan Studies Association was established at the first annual conference at Yale University in June 1994, and has been partly revised in later meetings. This constitution specifies the goals, organizational structures, and functions of the NATSA. According to NATSA's constitution, the president and the members of the Administrative Committee and the Program Committee are elected at every annual meeting, whose primary responsibility is to help prepare the conference in the following year. The president and other committee members compose the planning committees. All committee members participate as volunteers. Predominantly, committee members are Ph.D. students.
