Gunther Contemporary Fiber Design John Gunther is a weaver of hand dyed, hand woven wool or silk, for wall or floor. As a contemporary fiber artist he makes unique, original, one-of-a-kind art for interior decoration. His work includes hand dyed silk wall hangings with exotic woods woven through as well as surreal landscapes which are mood inducing. He dyes with rich and broad color progressions with striking graphic designs woven in as well as engaging pastels for a softer expression. His work is mainly for wall décor although he still enjoys creating wool floor coverings. Sun resistant, fire retardant, he chooses marino wool which is a natural, green, and recyclable material created by sheep in New Zealand.
