Alison Zlotow - Violinist Alison Zlotow has performed at Merkin Concert Hall, Miller Theatre, Symphony Space, and Carnegie Hall in New York City; at Jordan Hall in Boston; and at the Dame Myra Hess Series in Chicago. As a soloist with orchestra, Ms. Zlotow has performed the Tchaikovsky, Khachaturian, and Beethoven violin concertos with the DuPage, Kishwaukee, and Elmhurst symphonies in the Chicago area. As an orchestral musician, Alison has performed with the Brooklyn Philharmonic, the Chicago Symphony and Civic Orchestra, the Aspen Chamber Symphony, and the Oberlin Contemporary Music Ensemble. She has worked with conductors James Levine, Daniel Barenboim, David Robertson, and James DuPriest. Currently, Ms. Zlotow is a touring member of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. She has played rock and pop music with Celine Dion, Enrique Inglesias, Josh Groban, Roberta Flack, and Michael Buble. Her television broadcasts include Good Morning America, Live with Regis and Kelly, and the Oprah Winfrey Show. Alison is a member of the International Contemporary Ensemble (ICE) founded in 2001. The group has recorded for Naxos. Born in Chicago, Alison began playing the violin at the age of four with Janis Wittrig. At 17, Ms. Zlotow won the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition (Junior Division) and the ARTS Recognition and Talent Search. She earned her Bachelor of Music degree in Violin Performance at the Oberlin Conservatory where she studied with Almita and Roland Vamos.
