A plagiarist since birth, Kaufman has written for The Guardian, The Quietus and Londonist, and has acted in the films Desert Flower (with Timothy Spall and Liya Kebede) and A Closed Book (with Tom Conti and Daryl Hannah). He has also appeared in various commercials, both on television and in print, in the UK, Ireland and Japan. Matt Kaufman played The Mime in the popular album-covers-mime-game A Question of Mime which has been played by a quarter of a million people, and its classic film scene-themed sequel, Scene and Not Heard. He played bass guitar for the singer Dean Sobers for over 10 years with absolutely no critical or chart success whatsoever. Both Kaufman & Dean are now writing drama together.
