Description: Virtual microscopy is a method of digitizing microscope specimens, and transmitting the produced virtual slides over computer networks. WebMicroscope is the website of our virtual microscopy research group. Our goal is to develop techniques for producing and viewing virtual microscopy slides of uncompromized quality. Applications of the technology include slide atlases, slide seminars, laboratory quality assurance, supplements for scientific articles, and implementations within the high-throughput field of tissue microarrays.
