The Alexander Technique helps address problems of excess tension and strain. Often thought of as a means of improving posture, the Alexander Technique addresses more than superficial positioning of the body: it begins by increasing awareness of how any holding (be it excess tension or collapse) has a detrimental effect on overall well-being, and eventually offers a process that addresses both physical and mental habits in order to redistribute tension and restore balance and coordination.
